The Standard Grading System

Retailers and collectors of previously owned recorded material have arrived at a world-wide standard grading system for their products.
Here it is in a nutshell...
ss still sealed unplayed, and still in original packaging
m mint condition like new
m- mint minus condition near mint
vg++ very good ++ condition light wear, but very nice condition
vg+ very good + condition has wear, but plays fine
vg very good condition worn - has surface noise
g good condition very worn
f fair condition in bad shape
note: vinyl LP's are graded on the condition of both cover and record in the following format: cover/record (i.e: vg+/m)
